Advent Bible Reading December 17-25

The word Advent is a Latin term meaning ‘coming’ or ‘arrival’.
During December, Christians take part in ‘Advent’ as a way to remember and celebrate the coming of the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
During this season, Bible verses that speak to the coming of Jesus can prepare our hearts to experience the wonder of Christmas, and
help us be attentive to God’s transforming work in our lives.
The format for these Advent readings is:
1) read the passage slowly, listening for a word or a phrase to strike you;
2) hold on to that word or phrase in your mind, quietly repeating it to yourself;
