Project-SHARE
Redeemer Compassion Ministries exist to provide opportunities for the Redeemer family to offer compassion and practical help to our neighbours in need in the Niagara Region.

We currently have two areas to serve :
  1. The following events featured throughout the year, benefit emergency relief agency Project SHARE and its recipients:

FOOD TITHING, COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR, EASTER FOOD DRIVE & PICK-UP, COMMUNITY GARDEN, TRICK OR CAN, CHRISTMAS FOOD/GIFT DELIVERY. To learn more about Project SHARE click the icon.

  1. Week of Compassion is a seasonal church-wide initiative, where the church serves together for one cause.

CHRISTMAS BASKET UPDATE!

Thank you to all who donated, shopped, packed, prayed for and delivered 21 Christmas baskets to families from Niagara region in need. Because of your contributions, 21 families with children, were able to enjoy Christmas dinner plus a little more!
God Bless you as you continue to reach out with the love of Jesus and respond with compassion and practical help to those in our community who need help and hope this year!

WEEK OF COMPASSION: FEBRUARY 19-26

‘SHOULDER TO SHOULDER’ WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE
From February 19-26, we will be holding a clothing drive for Project Share. Donations will be taken to Shoulder to Shoulder – a branch of Project Share where, upon referral, families can receive much needed clothing, household items – even toys. Shoulder to shoulder operates as a warm, welcoming shop where clothing is given or sold at a very low cost. Any money generated from sales goes to purchasing car seats for moms in need.

Be part of this timely church-wide initiative by bringing in gently used warm coats, hats, and boots in good condition
– but don’t let that stop you from cleaning out your closet! Men’s, women’s and teens clothing of all seasons will be gladly accepted!
Please place the items in sturdy bags or boxes on the table in the Connections Café.
Thank you for blessing others as you have been blessed in this practical way!

Previous ‘Compassion’ events:

Community Garden:
Tomatoes, zucchini and swiss chard are some of the veggies grown by our green-thumbed volunteers for Project Share so our neighbours in need can have fresh produce in the summer!

Spring Week of Compassion-Gillian’s Place:
This Spring, the Redeemer family gathered household items for women in need at Gillian’s Place in St. Catharines. We surpassed our goal of filling 14 laundry baskets – and delivered over 25.

Fall Week of Compassion-Back-to-School Backpacks:
This fall over 52 backpacks and 312 lbs of school supplies were collected for our Niagara Falls children and teens in need, so they could be ready for the first day of school.
