FALL WEEK OF COMPASSION

This fall we have two unique ways to bless others as we have been blessed:

1. Stock the Shelves for Project SHARE!

From October 15-22 bring in much needed items to restock Project SHARE’s shelves. Hunger doesn’t take a holiday and many under-resourced folks will be utilizing the food bank before, during and after thanksgiving!

Baskets will be labeled and placed in the cafe for donations.

Requested Items: Rice/beans, peanut butter & jam, canned meat: tuna, salmon, chicken, canned fruit and vegetables, fruit cups, granola bars/juice boxes, baby food, formula and baby cereal

2. Lunches for Habitat: Women Build 2017

Women Build is an event where women of Niagara combine their skills, and muscle to help bring awareness to the cause of affordable home ownership – but it doesn’t stop there – teams will be building homes for TWO families here in Niagara Falls who desperately need a safe, accessible place to call home. Although we may not be able to use a hammer and saw we can still help make this dream come true by providing a hearty meal for these hardworking women to keep them going throughout the long day! We will provide 40 bagged lunches over two days along with a big pot of chilli!

Here’s how you can help:

– Come out to pack the lunch bags Oct. 22 right after the service

– Sign up to help make chilli Sunday, Oct. 22 right after the service

– Bring in perishable donations for the lunches October 22:

  • Buns, apples, bananas, small chocolate bars, lip balm, gum

Let’s put our love into action and make a difference in someone’s life with these simple acts of compassion.
