Christmas Basket Initiative 2018:  Redeemer family helping families
Please prayerfully consider being part of this church-wide event connecting with families through our on-going participation with Project Share emergency relief agency.
The Christmas Basket initiative is a wonderful way to reflect the compassion of Jesus and offer practical help, in His name, to people in our city who are precious to Him. One beautiful dimension of this endeavour is that we are able to personally deliver these food baskets with “Merry Christmas” on our lips and a personalized Christmas card in hand.

Our goal is to provide 30 Christmas meals to families.

Here’s how you can be part of this Christmas blessing:

Steps to sponsor a family:

  1. Sign up as a journey group or family. Please sign up in the Café!
  2. Fill a container with a Christmas meal plus some additional food for the holidays using the grocery list guide provided. Project Share suggests a family of three meal is $75-100. A meal for a family of four $100-150. Be creative, include holiday treats, Christmas napkins etc.
  3. A Redeemer Compassion teammate will contact you with your family’s information by November 30.
  4.  Call your family and set up a day to deliver your meal between December 10-16. You can at this time inquire about dietary restrictions or if they’d prefer a turkey or ham.
  5. Deliver your Christmas food and include a Christmas card & invitation to Redeemer!

Not in a Journey Group or can’t put a basket together on your own? You can still help!
