    Swept Clean – 1Samuel 2:11- 36
You Review 1Samuel 2:11-36. How does this speak to your life? • Family dynamics are front and center in this passage. Take some paper and jot out some thoughts on what you see here about how Eli parented his sons, or how the sons honoured their father. Do you see anything that strikes you about how you have parented or related to your parents?
Church What implications does 1Samuel 2:11-36 have for us as a church community? • This passage takes aim at the way that the House of God was managed under Eli and his sons. How might today’s church guard against slipping into a place where we show “contempt” and “scorn” for God? City How does this passage speak to our city? • If the situation in Shiloh was symbolic of the national situation at the time, then do you see any evidence of the sins of our city and culture sneaking into the church? Which sins? How did they “get in”? How can they be ”swept clean”?
