“Behold Your King” – Zechariah 9:9-13
Review Zechariah 9:9-13. How does this speak to your life?
• Think about the time when you became a Christian. What were you looking for and how did God “come to you”? In what ways was God exactly what you wanted, and in what ways is God the One you needed but not the One you were searching for?
What implications does Zechariah 9:9-13 have for us as a church community?
• Zechariah uses the singular tense to refer to Israel (i.e. “daughter”, “you”, “your” are all singular). What does this mean for your personal journey as a believer who is also part of a single “whole” called the Church? In what ways does this threaten and strengthen your individual faith? What part can you play in serving the Body of Christ?
How does this passage speak to our city?
• Jesus came to those who would never come to him. How can Redeemer be more effective at reaching those in our region that are neither looking for Jesus nor are aware of their need of Jesus?
